Health & wellness coach certification


Health and wellness coaching helps clients make the positive lifestyle changes needed for increasing health and wellbeing. It can make all the difference to the success of a weight loss or health plan. I studied with Real Balance Global Wellness Services and the course is certified by the UK Health Coaches Association and the International Coach Federation. Nutritional therapy diploma


I studied for a 3-year diploma course with the College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM) in London where I gained a distinction in Naturopathic Nutrition which qualifed me to become a Nutritional Therapist. My studies included over 200 hours of clinic practice, observing and providing nutritional therapy to clients with a wide range of health issues. I regularly attend educational seminars, workshops and webinars to keep up to date with the latest research findings in health and nutrition. Nutrition advisor diploma


This was my first foray into gaining credentials in the nutrition field. It provided a thorough grounding into nutrition and food groups, diet and lifestyle and advising clients on healthy eating.




Nutrigenomics advisor certification


I became interested in genetics after finding out my 23andme results. This led me to studying nutrigenomics after my nutrition diploma. I am certified to advise clients on interpretation of their results and how best to support their gene SNPs through nutrition and lifestyle. I am certified with DNAfit and am also a registered practitioner with myDNAhealth and LifeCodeGX. I regularly attend educational seminars and webinars to keep up to date with the latest research. Gut transformation practitioner


Having spent many years with chronic IBS, I undertook a 6-week course with NutriAdvanced to become a certified gut practitioner. The course helped me gain a deeper, practical understanding into gut problems such as IBS, indigestion and food intolerances. Contact me if you are interested in participating this programme.




BSc. (Hons) First Class


Not having had the chance to go to university, I spent 7 years studying part time with the Open University while working full time and producing 3 children! It was very hard work but this remains one of my proudest achievements to date.

As a nutritional therapist and health & wellness coach, my passion is helping women resolve their weight loss struggles while improving their health during midlife. 

 

Many women find they gain weight during this stage of their life, even if they've never had a problem before. This weight gain is often linked to peri-menopause and it can be so hard to shift without extra help.

 

Midlife is often the stage when the effects of long term obesity can start negatively impacting health. Often the importance of weight loss doesn't become apparent until a visit to the GP reveals high blood pressure or cholesterol, or blood sugar levels indicate pre-diabetes. 

There are many other factors that affect weight and I explore with my clients all the areas of their life that have contributed to their weight gain in order to get to the root cause. 

You have within you the power to turn your health around.

I'm here to help you do that.

My clients find a renewed energy and optimism in their lives. They feel happier in their bodies, their overall health improves and they know what to do to keep their weight under control, permanently.

It was my own weight struggles and health issues (here) and those of my parents that led me to specialising in weight loss and healthy ageing in midlife. 

Retaining my independence through to old age is of paramount importance to me and, I believe, it's what most of us want too.

My latest health check showed excellent blood sugar levels, a healthy cholesterol reading and ideal blood pressure. My weight has remained stable for more than 20 years. The nurse declared:

 

'Your records show your weight has been the same for the last 10 years. How do you do that?''
