Your Nutritional Therapist

About Me

BSc. (Hons), DipNT (CNM), mBANT, rCNHC

Picture
Hello and welcome!

My name is Caroline, the founder of NutritionREFIT. I'm a Registered Nutritional Therapist having graduated from the London College of Naturopathic Medicine, one of the leading providers of Nutritional Therapy training in the UK.

I'm a fully insured member of the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT) and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) which is accredited by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care (PSA).

I use the Functional Medicine approach which means taking time to thoroughly investigate your previous health history and lifestyle as well as looking at the interactions among genetic, environmental and lifestyle factors that can influence long-term health and complex or chronic disease. In this way, Functional Medicine supports the unique expression of health and vitality for each individual. I'm an empathetic therapist, listening to your concerns while endeavouring to provide optimal solutions to support your ongoing health.

Additionally, as a qualified nutritional advisor and weight loss coach, I work on a 1-to-1 basis with people wishing to lose weight, gain weight or just wanting to learn how to incorporate healthy eating into their lifestyle.

With the rapidly advancing information available to us via genetic testing, I believe that learning about our unique DNA profile provides us with a fantastic opportunity to get to the core of why we are susceptible to various illness and disease. For more information see DNA testing.

My specialist areas are weight management, healthy ageing (including support for osteoporosis and Alzheimer's Disease) and digestive health.

A Personal Note

A personal note.

"I’m married with 3 children, living and working in London. My professional career was spent as a graphics specialist in the management consultancy and banking industries within highly pressurised environments. I understand the tremendous physical and mental toll that combining working life with family and other commitments can take on the body and the relentless stresses of modern life that many of us face on a daily basis.

Observing the incredible results that can be achieved in those with poor or sub-optimal health, has enabled me to truly appreciate how amazing the simple act of eating a healthy diet, tailored to your unique requirements can be.

Many of us who choose to follow a path in nutrition often decide to specialise in those areas where they have personal experience or knowledge. My own history concerns weight management, digestive issues, stress and sleep problems. Healthy ageing is also a subject close to my heart, especially with Alzheimer’s Disease and osteoporosis in the family. I am therefore passionate about educating and supporting my clients towards a healthy life today and well into old age.
"
